I have been so unmotivated lately. I wish I had some kind of goal. I use to have a lot more energy when I was drawing. I think now I'm to afraid to make mistakes and it keeps me from doing anything.

Greetings! It is I, once again...
I would care to venture a question to you. Is the whole oekaki programme worth getting? I've developed a bit of an interest in it and would care to try it out, although I'm not too sure where to get it...
Thou art the oekaki professional (I think so, anyway) so I thought it only fitting that I ask you this. I pray you don't mind, of course.
Sorry for the medieval speech. I've been reading Redwall WAY too much :P

Thanks very much for your help. Maybe I'll go to Oekaki Central someday, but after reading all the rules, I'd better improve my drawing skills before going there!

Ah, right. I think I understand what you're getting at. Perhaps it's the whole 'sympathy vote' thing that most of us suffer from when we enter art competitions. I know I've fallen victim to it on several occasions -_-'
I remember in my 2nd year of high school, in the art class we were made to enter a competition to design a poster for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. I had a great idea for mine, but the teacher made us draw from these crappy photos and enter them instead. I tried my best but the one that won it all was some seven year old who drew a clown that looked like a friggin' rocket ship. Pissed me off something awful...

I see you're concerned that people don't put their heart into their artwork and only care about how it looks, but I don't quite understand what you mean.
Could you maybe give me an example, please? I just want to try and understand better what you're saying

I could give examples of other artists but that would probably be rude

most people don't care how hard you work on something so it could be simple and still get a lot of attention sometimes this bothers me it means that pictures I spent hours and hours on can get beat out by an icon that took me a half an hour to make LOL

Hello! I'm sure loads of people had already told you the following, and I don't think i'm th most qualifyed to say it!
Your art if fabulous. You work hard on the details, since i saw on your animations how you do every single little dash. The colors are always well chosen, and the lightning / shading is perfect.

Great job you did!

I think what bothers me is that people don't care about how much work was put into something they just care about how it looks I find it a bit discouraging sometimes

That's mostly what I care about. It's true that if someone puts loads of effort, and works hard on a project, whatever the result comes out, the artist should be happy of self.

And that's what i see through your art. You get it? I'm sorry if i'm hard to understand.

I'd like to thank you for your tutorials :) They've helped me make a semi-decent Redwall picture. Thank you again!
