I saw the 1998 version of poto yesterday. To be honest: it sucks big time O.o Erik is not deformed but raised by rats. That and he's a total psycho also. Compare him with the Erik's from the 1990 and 2004 version, and both of them would shit their pants if he would be around O.O (example: the guy ripped someone's cheek off with his teeth -___O"")
Really sucky movie, don't watch it.
