The huge robot, that towered over the man paused, for the first time since he had been wakened. He massive arms, a twisting mass of electrical wires stopped, and spiked gloves stood still. "Not...Human?" It said slowly. "Toben, not...Human?"
"No!" The man sobbed. "I'm sorry Toben, but you're not. And never will be. You were, but...but..."
"Toben...was human?"
"Yes...Yes"
"Was human? What am I now then?"
The man stopped, and gulped. "A cyborg". Nothing else happened fro a second. The bright lights that once burned behind Toben's slowly dimmed. With a last, sudden, deafening roar, Toben screamed, his final scream.
Toebn, The Renegade Robot, is a plot I have been working on for several years, sparked from a doodle. Toben is German for rage, and is an ancient nazi super weapon, long forgotten. Now, 2390, he awakes and wreaks havoc on earth. It is slowly uncovered the Toben was one of many many super robots developed all over the wolrd by different nations, the projects so secret, only a select few will ever know until they are unearthed and destroyed. The project is suddenly discovered, too late, as a gobal operation. Dead super-soldiers, reborn in the bodies of super weapons. Toben was their leader, but soon turns out to be the most complicated of them all. He still ahs human emotions, thus being his eventual destroyer. |
