"Oh, it's you, Captain Byakuya," Shunsui Kyoraku drunkily said, "As serious as usual, I see. Come on, stop, you gotta stop this stupid fighting. Come on, try to relax a little bit more... eh? How can I put this... Can we try to make this stop?"
"Kyoraku, your attempts at humor and blocking me to kill all are wasted on nobility," Byakuya backsassed.
"Yeah, great flick," Kyoraku replied, "Now can we get this battle started? Eh? Whaddya say?"
"Fine. You will regret this." While saying this, Byakuya vanished into thin air.
"Alright, where the hell are you? Whatcha doin', using your Flash Step like that? It doesn't help, ya know," Kyoraku said in a drunk state.
As sudden as possible, smoke bursted from the ground out of nowhere. There was a shining, metal object in the middle of the smoke. Kyoraku approached, coughing and coughing.
It was but a dulled edge of a zanpaku-to.
Dulled edge?! That was a bad sign. Kyoraku looked up toward the sun. The sky turned black. Byakuya approached forward with might; zanpaku-to aiming straight forward. He almost stabbed Kyoraku in the heart.
Almost stabbed.
A figure came between the blade and Kyoraku, with his zanpaku-to blocking Byakuya's.
Hitsugaya. Toshiro Hitsugaya. Thought to be dead, yet covered in scars.
There was a long pause of disbelief. How could Hitsugaya have lived at all?
"I will not forgive you... I promised I would kill you..." he said, "I VOW TO KILL YOU!"
"I'd like to see you try," Byakuya backsassed.
"Well, I guess it ain't just you, Toshiro," Kyoraku said. He had a smile on his face as he took his two zanpaku-tos out. He crossed them together, and, with that, he double-slashed the air with them, creating an enormous gust of wind to blow Byakuya up and into the sky. Byakuya groaned as he was shot up by the winds, while Kyoraku started channeling his spiritual pressure to make it appear around his body. As it did, he had released his Shikai. The daisho swords transformed into two large scimitars. He tried to pierce Byakuya with both of them, straight to his heart, yet he had missed. He disappeared. He could have used the Flash Step. If he did, where could he have gotten to?
He was actually behind Kyoraku.
Byakuya pierced Kyoraku in the throat, and eventually, after several seconds of coughing, Kyoraku died.
“Byakuya…. In the afterlife… someday… I know… I will… Kill… you…” Those were Kyoraku’s last words. After this, Byakuya disappeared without a trace.
“Damn you… I WILL KILL YOU!!!!!!”
