Byakuya used his Flash Step to manuever quickly through the trees in the woods. He remembered Soi Fon as he went through, of how she betrayed his trust, of how she went to find that Quincy...
And of how she was a Captain.
When, or if, she came back to this realm, he would slay her, slay her without her even noticing, slay her slowly, so she would feel every ounce of pain, see all her blood coming out of her body... and so she would have a few last words before she dies.
Suddenly, as Byakuya came to a last tree branch, a swirling vortex of dark purple and black came into the sky. He looked up.
Soi Fon.
She looked absolutely exhausted, coming from the world of the living, saying to herself, "Damn that wretched Quincy... why couldn't I find him? I sensed absolutely no spiritual pressure when I was there! Damn Quincy... there! I cursed a Quincy and I don't care! Damn Quincy..."
An abrupt sound of a large explosion hit the trees, which made soil rise and smoke come from the explosion. "What the hell is this?" she screamed.
A sudden amount of high spiritual pressure was felt coming closer and closer. "This kind of pressure... I've sensed it before... No. It can't be. He was left in the realm of the living. It can't be-"
She was cut off by a blade coming close to her neck, near her eyes. It was close enough to kill her.
"Why did you betray me," a voice said from the smoke.
"I... I don't know what you're talking about," she replied.
Byakuya rose from the smoke. "Why did you betray my trust?"
"I betrayed you because you're a dim-witted murderer, Byakuya," she replied, "You had no right to kill Yamamoto!"
"I had every right to kill Yamamoto, and you know yourself he was not ever needed to exist! For betraying me, you will die right here, and right now!"
"Hold up," Soi Fon interrupted, "How about we make this game a little more fun and challenging? Don't make this battle end quickly, there has to be action and challenge in it."
"Fine," he replied, "Let this be long."
"I'm just telling you this now. This time, I'm going hard and serious on you, as I was before. Don't think I'm going to fall for any of your lame tricks."
"Hmmm..." He backsassed, "It sounds as though you were never serious up to this point..."
"Oh, forget you. I'll finish you before you say supercalifragilisticexpialadocious."
"Well, that does take a long time, doesn't it," Byakuya sassed again, "even if I do, you would never kill me."
"Try me."
She was gone. "Stealth Force techniques," Byakuya muttered, "clever. Though, not clever enough."
He disappeared with his Flash Step just when Soi Fon was about to kick him from the behind. Instead, Byakuya came behind her. He slashed her left arm, not too deep, but enough to send her flying. "Scatter," Byakuya said, "Senbon- Zakura." Instead of his zanpaku-to dissolving, he lifted his hand up and about 320 purple and black other zanpaku-tos appeared in the sky. They all charged toward Soi Fon as she stood there recklessly, trying to get up. "What the hell?"
"Die, Soi Fon," Byakuya said.

A scream was heard. Soi Fon was left in the dust. Blood was splattered on every leaf, every branch, every tree surounding the fight. Soi Fon lay down on the dirt, trying to make out some words. "D-damn... I... was... s-so... close..." she coughed.
"So close? How insulting. You and I are leagues apart," Byakuya sassed, "You wouldn't win in eight centuries."
Soi Fon stopped breathing.
She was dead.

"You inspect that section," Renji Abarai commanded the other shinigami. "Damn... this job is harder than I thought. Byakuya left and killed old man Yamamoto... now I have to be captain?"
Three shinigami found a hand attached to a tree branch, covered in blood. "Hey Captain, we found something," one of them said, "It appears to be a bloodied hand!"
Renji came running toward them, looking at the hand. He came closer and closer into the trees, trembling at what had happened.
It was Soi Fon's body.
"Byakuya..." Renji muttered, "I WILL KILL YOU, BYAKUYA!"
